Evaluating Wiki Sites
February 6, 2008 by mlower
When setting up a class wiki, we need to decide which wiki tool to use. Three of the wiki tools one can choose from are Wikispace, Wetpaint, or PBwiki. Decisions based on safeguards provided for students and how you want to manage your wiki will help you choose which tool to use. TeachersFirst has provided a thorough comparison of the three sites within their Wiki Walk-Through feature. Take some time and compare the similarities and differences between the three tools to see which one meets your needs.

Mindy, thanks for the link to teachersfirst.com. I have already joined, and am eager to use this in the Spring. The tutorial as easy to follow and prompts thinking about appropriate use. I am developing an idea for use with local history. I’ll be writing the lesson plan and sending it to you as part of 3-E-1.
